Mr. Dorn is Principal in Charge for all civil engineering work carried out by CDI staff.  He has over 30 years of experience in the planning, analysis, design, and construction management of water and wastewater systems.  His background includes contract administration and inspection for construction projects, preparation of master plans and feasibility studies, permitting, system design, computer-based hydraulic network analysis, and grant management.

Mr. Carson is Principal in Charge for all environmental work carried out by staff, and he actively participates in a wide variety of both environmental and civil engineering projects.  His civil experience includes management of municipal civil engineering projects, including water, sewer, storm drainage, street paving, and solid waste management.  He has also been responsible for and directly involved in project design, permitting, preparation of construction documents and the bid phase, project inspection, construction survey, and materials testing for a wide variety of civil engineering projects. His environmental experience includes permitting activities for projects in sensitive environmental settings, environmental management for underground storage tank (UST) removals, AHERA inspections for asbestos in buildings, the design and management of asbestos abatement projects, responsibility for environmental monitoring programs for mining concerns in the Juneau area, and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
