Ms. Dahlberg’s environmental engineering responsibilities include project management, civil design and construction inspection, asbestos surveys and lead-based paint abatement project design, providing asbestos awareness and lead awareness training, preparation of Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental sampling and monitoring, pollutant loading studies, and QA/QC of laboratory analytical data. Her construction inspection background includes underground utilities, reservoirs, pump stations, road and parking lot construction, structural concrete, and building construction. Ms. Dahlberg has 18 years of experience in the engineering field.
Ms. Dahlberg holds a B.S. in Civil
Engineering from Oregon State University (1984) and an
M.S. in Civil Engineering from

Steven J. Haavig
Mr. Haavig's environmental professional responsibilities
include investigating and cleaning up contaminated sites
and underground storage tanks; coordinating annual household
hazardous waste programs in Southeast Alaska communities;
preparing RCRA hazardous waste transport and disposal
documents, developing and implementing air, water, and
soil sampling programs for petroleum and hazardous substances,
dust, and mold; conducting Phase I/II Environmental Site
Assessments; developing industrial storm water management
plans; and providing hazardous waste operations and response
training courses geared toward rural communities. Mr.
Haavig has 30 years of broad experience in environmental
management.
Mr. Haavig holds a B.S. in Fish
and Wildlife Management from the University of Idaho (1973).

Katherine
S. Smith
Ms. Smith’s responsibilities are to run the office’s
daily operations including supporting project staff, general
accounting duties, managing the CDI library, and serving
as CDI's initial point of contact with the public and
clients.
Ms. Smith holds a B.S. in Economics from Western Oregon

Jolene
Cox
Ms. Cox's environmental professional responsibilities
include conducting field investigations of contaminated
sites including sampling of soils, sediments, groundwater
and surface water; installation of groundwater monitoring
wells and aquifer pump tests; fate and transport modeling;
preparation of Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments
and CERCLIS Site Assessments; and performing human health
and ecological risk assessments. Ms. Cox has 12 years
of broad experience in the environmental field including
teaching environmental science as an adjunct professor.
Ms. Cox holds a B.S. in Environmental Soil Science from Michigan State University (1998) and an M.S. in Environmental Microbiology from West Virginia University (2004). Contact her at jcox@carsondorn.com.
